General Information[edit]
Stamina is required to perform various actions; It is represented with a green bar in the HUD. The player's max stamina can be increased by leveling up the Endurance stat.
Stamina Regeneration[edit]
- Stamina regenerates at a default rate of 45 Stamina per second
- Stamina regeneration can be buffed by equipping the Eternal Warrior's Ring , adding + 12 Stamina per second
- Stamina regeneration can be reduced by the following:
- Certain Armor being Equipped (ranging from -1 to -4 Stamina per second, for each individual armor piece)
- Slow Rolling reduces stamina recovery by roughly 20%
- Being Overburdened reduces stamina recovery by roughly 30%
- Greatly reduced while blocking, reduces stamina recovery by roughly 80%1
- Plague Status Effect
- Inflicted by Rats , Death Cloud , or Baby's Nail = -15 Stamina per second
- Inflicted by 5-3 water = -20 Stamina per second
- Stamina can be overdrained to -50 at the lowest
Armor Impact on Stamina Regeneration[edit]
- Various pieces of armor come with a disclaimer in their item description stating "Its/Their heaviness slightly impedes stamina regeneration".
- However, there are certain pieces of lighter armor that do not include this disclaimer while sometimes having an equally negative impact.
- All Armor Sets have a hidden stat for their stamina reduction "level".
- It applies globally to the entire set, even though different pieces within a set may have differing amounts of stamina reduction (eg, In a Level 2 Armor Set, the Head piece reduces 1 Stamina , the Torso piece reduces 2 Stamina).
Below is a complete list of all armor pieces with a negative effect. Armor not included below has no impact on stamina recovery.

Notes[edit]
- Stamina regeneration is unaffected by player Stats and gender
- Equipped weapons do not reduce stamina recovery. However, slow rolling or being overburdened does, so weapons may contribute to a slower recovery if the collective weight is too much.
- Item Burden does not impact stamina recovery.
- There may be interactions of stamina recovery reductions that have yet to be accounted for.
- Most NPCs obey the same rules of stamina recovery as the player character, however
- Old King Doran has an innate buff of +15 to stamina recovery, in addition to having the Eternal Warrior's Ring equipped, giving him a total of 72 stamina recovery per second.
- Garl Vinland has an innate buff of +12 to stamina recovery and is wearing an alternate Dark Silver Set that does not drain stamina recovery, giving him 57 stamina recovery (when he's not holding his shield up).
- The heaviest armor set that is without any penalty to stamina regeneration is the Ancient King's Armor.

- Amount has been observed to reduce stamina recovery by exactly 80% at the lowest, and by 83.3% at the highest.
- Typically results in a stamina recovery of 7 to 9 stamina per second for a fast rolling character.
- Can bring stamina recovery down to 4 for an overburdened character
- It's possible there may be a floor or limit to negative stamina recovery, particularly when combined with slow rolling or overburdened stamina drain. For example, the 5-3 Plague has been confirmed to remove 20 stamina recovery, but when stacked with Slow Rolling, has been observed to reduce a bit less.
